Music Room Choir Risers

How Can My Scholar Practice at Home?
Lyric Sheets will be sent home (10/26 & 10/27) for your scholars to practice their beautiful concert music in their free time. Yay!

Checking for Comprehension
Each class will begin a Concert Musician Sticker Chart starting Wednesday, October 26, to help every scholar track their progress for each concert song.
  • The more times a scholar bravely sings a solo or in a small group for phrases of their songs, with accuracy, the more stickers they will earn!
  • What will stickers get you? Listen closely in class to find out! 🥳
Concert Reminders

Grades 3 - 5, Ms. Smith (stephanie.smith@greatheartswesternhills.org)

Hello Spartans!

Next week in Music, we will continue preparing for our concert on December 9th!

3rd Grade will have auditions for a special opportunity to be featured in a small ensemble at the beginning of "Stille Nacht". Scholars should demonstrate excellent German diction as well as excellent pitch and rhythm for their best chance at being selected!

5th Grade will have auditions for a special opportunity to be featured in a small ensemble at the beginning of "Carry the Light". Scholars should demonstrate excellent pitch and rhythm for their best chance at being selected. Don't forget to "clap" in your head before you come in, as the melody doesn't come in on a downbeat!

Lyric Sheets will be distributed next week for your scholars to take home to practice their concert music!

Grades 3 - 5, Ms. Castro (e.gonzalezcastro@greatheartswesternhills.org)

Hi Spartans!

This week, our students continued applying Spanish to the season: Fall. The students learned about which animals migrate during the Fall. The students were amazed about the migration of the Monarch Butterfly during the Fall. Next week, we will travel to a new Spanish-speaking country - this time, it's Mexico! The students will learn about Mexican culture.
