Kinder: Kinder students are practicing their scissor skills by cutting shapes to decorate the art room. Students will finish the week by cutting out paper pizza toppings.

1st Grade: Students will continue learning about lines and shapes! First graders will make organic and geometric shapes using shiny foil. Students will also learn about contour lines this week.


2nd Grade: Second graders are learning about symmetry. Students will make 3D symmetrical mobiles!

3rd Grade: Study of Van Gogh with emphasis on lines.



4th Grade: Study of Paul Klee, learning about Expressionism.



5th Grade: Study of Optical illusion and how to use lines to create depth and illusions.

🎵 2nd Grade: Second Grade can expect to deep dive into the sheet music of Que Llueva and solidify their knowledge on finding so-mi-la Solfege sounds on the staff. They will also encounter a new song, Rocky Mountain, which uses the pentatonic scale.

Hello Spartans, 

This week in Spanish class, scholars have been learning about numbers and their Spanish names. Kinder has been practicing counting to 30 in Spanish. First and second graders have been practicing counting up to 50 in Spanish.

The scholars have had a busy week learning about singular and plural nouns. Next week, they will be going to learn how to assign adjectives to a noun. To check for understanding, scholars will be learning to write short sentences using articles, nouns, and adjectives.
