Congratulations Kindergarten, 1st, and 2nd Grade on performing with joyful, incredible voices on your Concert Night! Thank you families for all of your support of our Music program, and for the encouragement you’ve shared with your scholar to prepare them for their big night.
Moving into February, we’ve wrapped up our concert review and celebration, and now it’s back to the normal swing of things in the Music Room. Get ready for new activities, games, and more!

Spartan Musicians,
Great job on your Winter Concert! We are so proud of all of the hard work you paid in and it definitely paid off to hear your lovely singing voices come together to display such a wonderful performance for friends and family! Congratulations!
As we move forward from the concert, 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade scholars are jumping right back into music theory, history, and appreciation concepts.
3rd grade scholars are working on identifying and playing new rhythms, 4th graders are expanding upon their knowledge of note names, and 5th grade scholars are learning about a new composer, Felix Mendelssohn!

Hola Spartans! ☺️
Last week, we explored Ecuador and its rich culture. On Day 2, students had a blast playing the traditional game “El Sapo” where they tossed a coin and earned points and a prize based on where it landed. It was a great way to experience Ecuadorian traditions.
This week, our students were introduced to Spanish verb conjugations! We explored why we conjugate verbs and why some verbs have vowel-changing roots. To make learning active and engaging, we reinforced our skills with a Conjugation Relay Race, where students practiced conjugating verbs while having fun. Learning through movement and play helps concepts stick- and we had a blast doing it!
Meanwhile, our 5th graders have officially finished their bilingual books! We are so proud of their hard work and creativity, and we can’t wait to see the final published versions come together. Stay tuned for the big reveal!

Hello Spartans!
Your scholars had a blast using our volleyball net and learning new volleyball skills. They will be practicing the newly learned skills in our locomotor stations this upcoming week!
